Gendering Green Generation projects
Gender inequality is a persistent and widespread issue in many parts of the world, including Rahamna, Morocco. Despite progress made in recent years, women in Rahamna continue to face significant barriers to their social, economic, and political advancement
The effects of gender inequality on women in Rahamna are far-reaching and can impact their physical, emotional, and mental health. Discrimination and exclusion from decision-making processes can lead to low self-esteem and feelings of worthlessness. Limited access to education and employment opportunities can result in financial dependence on men and poverty.
Several organizations and initiatives are working towards reducing gender inequality in Rahamna. These efforts include providing women with education and job training programs, advocating for changes to discriminatory laws, and raising awareness about the issue through campaigns and outreach programs. The Moroccan government has also made progress in recent years, implementing policies to promote gender equality and protect women’s rights.
Our research project is part of this same dynamic of identifying the causes of this problem in order to propose sustainable solutions.
