Gendering Green Generation projects
The 3G project team organized fruitful workshops on May 22nd, 23rd, and 24th with the aim of assessing the integration of gender dimensions in the rural development sector.
The first session brought together professionals from the agricultural sector (ONCA, DPA, Agricultural Chamber) to identify challenges encountered since the launch of the Green Morocco Plan and to formulate recommendations for equitable rural development.
The second meeting focused on the gender approach at the level of territorial municipalities and the integration of this approach into budgeting and programs. Presidents and elected members from eight rural municipalities in the Rehamna province, and representatives from the regional Agricultural Chamber of the Marrakech-Safi region were present.
The final gathering convened agricultural cooperatives and non-profit associations from the province to discuss advocacy strategies aimed at promoting gender equality and seeking support from policymakers and donors.
Through these workshops facilitated by Mr. El Amrani, a professor and researcher at ENA Meknes, and through multpile diagnostic tools, the 3G project members were able to formulate recommendations and practical measures to address concerns about women’s inclusion.
