Gendering Green Generation projects
A workshop under the theme «What Agriculture in the Rhamna Province?» was held on February 15th as a follow-up to the field mission conducted during the week of February 13th. This meeting involved the presentation of results and data collected during the technical diagnosis.
This gathering provided an opportunity for representatives from each cooperative to showcase the measures taken to address the technical and gender-related constraints identified during the mission, as well as other issues related to the management, marketing, and commercialization of their products. Presentations also covered the mission results as delivered by Mr. Mohamed Ihlal, an expert in agri-food and agricultural development.
The discussed topics encompassed a range of themes, from women’s integration, evaluation of technical valorization methods, the role of women in agricultural product valorization units, assessment of upgrade needs for OPA infrastructure and equipment, types of valorized products, evaluation of support and guidance requirements for OPAs, along with data on the number of women and their educational level.
The meeting highlighted successes and challenges encountered in the field, sparking a constructive discussion on ways to enhance practices and overcome obstacles to achieve a more sustainable and equitable agriculture.
